I don't have a lot to post today. However, the lesson is to listen to your body. If your back hurts so much that at times its hard to breathe, you need to take it easy. I visited a sports chiropractor and he's helped out a lot. I still have some more work to do to get my back to 100%, but I'm well on my way.
I'll ease back in to some simple workouts over the next week and I plan on making sure I'm at full strength by the time I get back from Colorado (we're going out for a family wedding the last weekend in May.)
Take care, I'll keep posting.
John
Sorry to hear you had a minor injury...but knowing you, you'll be back at it full force in no time! Gotta get all healed up because INSANITY is coming! :o)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. I sprained my ankle a little over a week ago running with my husband. I wanted to keep going, but he made us go straight home, found some articles supporting that you have to fully heal or you'll end up with a chronic injury. SO glad you are on your way to recovering. What are you doing in the meantime to not go stir crazy?!!!
ReplyDeleteGood post. It's always nice to pay attention to our bodies. I have a knee that is always on the edge of going out. I know how hard I can push it but if I don't pay attention, I'm immobile for a few days. Sometimes I wait until it's screaming at me and then it's too late. Thanks for the reminder!
