A confession

Hey everyone. The last month has been pretty rough for me in a couple ways. The last day I updated here, there were some layoffs at my work. This meant that my schedule and such changed dramatically. Where I used to go into my office 1-2 days a week, I'm now in 4 days a week and more. On top of that, in mid March I got sicker than I can remember. I lost about 7 lbs in a couple days and couldn't eat solid food for about 5 days.

Unfortunately, these setbacks were "ready made" excuses that I didn't overcome.  The last 3-4 weeks have been terrible.  My workouts have been non-existent and my diet has been terrible as well.  So, I'm back here writing, I need to get back on track.

  1. John,

Do you think you are the only one who has had a difficult time? Time to suck it up and take responsibility for yourself. All I hear is a bunch of whining when what you should be doing is taking the bull by the horns and prove you are the man you claim to be!

Workouts don't care if you are sick, out of work, or can't manage your lifestyle. If you think you'll find a shoulder to cry on here, then you are dead wrong.

    Snap out of it Holmes!!!

I'm not asking for sympathy, just being honest. Life happens and sometimes priorities get jumbled up. That's life.

  4. Get back to it John. Everybody has setbacks. What is important is that you've making yourself accountable, you have taken inventory of where you are now, and are getting back on track to where you want to be. Semper fidelis. Out!

  5. Get back on your horse, John. You have way more virtual support than you can imagine! Don't look back. It's a waste of time. Look ahead!
